Allen-Bradley 1203-GD1 Communication Module

This communication module has front panel terminals that consists of One (1) SCANport, One (1) Remote I/O and power supply terminal. It also has LED indicators to detect Fault, SCANport STS, Health, Rem I/O ACT and Remote STS. Except for the Fault indicator that indicates RED when module fault is detected, other LED indicators provide GREEN light. If earlier version of SCANport module is used, amber is used instead of Green.

Compatible Remote I/O products for the Remote I/O communication port includes Logix5550, PLC-2/30 with SD2, PLC-3, PLC Classic Family, including the PLC-5/10 with 1771-SN in Discrete Mode, PLC-5/15, PLC-5/25, PLC Enhanced family, including the PLC-5/20, PLC-5/30, PLC-5/40, PLC-5/40L, PLC-5/60, PLC-5/60L, PLC-5/80, PLC-5/250, SLC 500 with a 1747-SN Remote I/O Scanner Module and scanner modules including subscanner devices.

This module has DIP switches installed at the bottom of the module to define the operation terminating resistor that is used to close the Remote I/O segment. The 1203-GD1 module is powered by an input voltage range of 85 to 264 Volts AC, along an input maximum input current of 35 mA and frequency between 45 and 63 Hertz. The SCANport load is 60 mA DC. Environmental specifications include operating temperature range of 0 to 50 degrees Celsius, or 32 to 122 degrees Fahrenheit, storage temperature range between -40 and 85 degrees Celsius, or -40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit. The required relative humidity should not exceed 95% (non-condensing). The mechanical specifications include dimensions of 76 x 45 x 123 millimeters, and a NEMA Type 1 enclosure.
